"Achieving Sustainability should not be our children's responsibility,
...anymore than failure at such should be our generation's legacy."

Rusty C Callier, MBA, Associate Principal
Rusty Callier is a member of the St. Croix Institute (SCI) and Locally Invested Carbon Offsets (LICO2e™) team. SCI and LICO2e™ are “think and do tanks” focused on taking clients ‘beyond sustainability’ by working past the traditional triple bottom line – people, planet, and profit – by including a sense of community or ‘place’. It is this approach that helps clients overcome ESG issues by engaging in the local communities within which they operate and providing clarity and purpose to their sustainability strategy.
With over 20 years of experience in corporate sustainability and operations, Rusty can not only build a strategy around sustainability, but also operationally install it across all business segments. Versed in ESG report creation, circular economy, scope 1, 2, and 3, water stewardship, Justice, equity, diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI), Materiality, and operational excellence – yes LEAN - Rusty has a unique skill set. Solving the problems of today without impacting the future is a key contribution Rusty strives to create.
Clients served:
Before joining SCI and LICO2e™, Rusty worked 18 years for radiant heat and plumbing system manufacturer Uponor in Operations as a Plant Manager and Director of Operations as well as in Corporate Sustainability as the Global Director of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability where he led the first design and installation of the Uponor Corporate Sustainability strategy as well as the first Uponor ESG annual report. In addition to Uponor, Rusty has been a director at GN Resound – a leading hearing-aid manufacturer in North America, and AmesburyTruth - a leading fenestration manufacturer for the largest window and door manufacturers in North America.
In addition to consulting, Rusty loves spending time with his wife, two children, and two dogs. Being a year-round sports family – baseball, hockey, and dance – keeps Rusty’s family moving all year long. Sprinkled in are numerous fishing excursions around Minnesota as well as family trips to ‘beach’ destinations.
