Design In The Light Creative Services
Creative Communications Consultant & Development
Kay Lambert, proprietor of Design In The Light, genuinely connects with her clients and their aspirations. Kay's keen sense to visualize and communicate client philosophy is pivotal to the design strategy. Each design is infused with a natural ability to conceptualize, create and balance with design savvy and business insight. These are all critical elements to communicating with the audience, presenting tangible yet stunning imagery and creating a comprehensive approach to individual client branding and graphics needs.
Kay's education background is an unconventional blend of the fine arts, business management, and business experience. Her creativity uses both sides of the brain, offering clients distinctive, visual solutions with a thoughtful, understanding of the business perspective.
Creating and designing has been Kay's passion all her life, specifically in the graphic design field for over 25 years, with a focus in the wild and scenic St. Croix River Valley over the past 15 years. Although, she hesitates to call her work "work". Creating beautiful brand experiences and being able to contribute to the visual aesthetics of the St. Croix Valley is important to her core values in doing her part by protecting and preserving our pristine environment through visual education and effective innovative designs.
Engaging with clients on a personal level is important to Kay. Bigger isn't always better. She genuinely cares about her client projects, goals and objectives and becomes a part of the team to help them achieve them. She's down-to-earth and approachable with a great work ethic.
Kay's owned a few small galleries in the valley, mostly because she loves artists, and surrounding herself with art and nature. It's the connections, the energetic vibration of each unique creative spirit, the artistic process, and the fascinating people attracted to it.
Kay lives near Star Prairie with her husband Christopher who is affectionately known as the "Camo Kid" because of his love for nature. She has three "kids", yellow labs Blaze and Wingnut, and Noisy Boy, a rescue cat who thinks he's a dog...yes, he's very vocal, hence the name Noisy Boy. She loves critters, and the water, and can't wait to kayak.
