SCI & LICO2etm continue to do their best to walk-the-talk on climate mitigation and adaptation initiatives. We are proud to be certified by the Terrapass Carbon Balanced Business Program. SCI & LICO2etm are 20% Beyond C-Neutral*.
*NOTE: SCI & LICO2e are an integrated small office operation in multi-tenant, rented space with no subspace metering. The GHG Footprint was initially calculated utilizing Native Energy (NE), online ‘business calculator’ & Terrapass (TP) offline ‘business calculator’. SCOPE’s 1, 2, & 3 are included. The base calculation for 2016 was 33.2 mT. 20% ‘beyond neutral’ equals 6.64 mT, bringing total to 39.84 mT (40mT purchased for 2016). The base calculation for 2017 was 40mT. ‘20% Beyond Neutral’ equals 8mT. 48mT were purchased for 2017. Future benchmarking and tracking will continue to pursue more discreet and comprehensive protocol, carbon sequestration offsets, and achievement of ‘carbon negative’ performance. |

*NOTE: We are an integrated small office operation. The GHG Footprint was calculated using the Native Energy (NE), online ‘business calculator’. SCOPE’s 1, 2, & 3 were included, but only to this generalized online NE version. The base calculation for 2016 was 36.6 Short Tons, which equates to 33.2 mT. 20% equals 6.64 mT, bringing total to 39.84 mT. Future benchmarking and tracking will pursue more discreet and comprehensive protocol.

Global stagnation in addressing climate change has not discouraged cities worldwide from taking the lead on becoming more environmentally sustainable.
Minnesota cities are no exception. This was highlighted at the 2016 Minnesota League of Cities Annual Conference, where six cities were recognized for reaching the highest level of environmental stewardship in the state’s GreenStep CIties program. The six cities were:
