Danette Olsen Consulting

As a Facilitator & Organizational Development affiliate, Danette Olsen works in the realm of sustainable development, using nature, the arts, and participatory learning as the most effective tools she knows to help clients reimagine the future.   Though she was born in Los Angeles, at age six Danette’s family moved “back home” to Polk County, Wisconsin, where she enjoyed a free-range, idyllic childhood on a 50-acre working hobby farm.   Danette is a creative and tenacious civic leader who believes in the transformative power of the arts and the restorative qualities of nature to awaken, mobilize, and replenish people of all ages to be knowledgeable, active citizens who are committed to democracy, social and environmental justice.  As a facilitator, Danette strives to uphold the civic principles that build human and organizational capacity to serve the common good.

Design In The Light Creative Services

As a Creative Communications affiliate, Kay Lambert provides the spirit of design for internal and external communications to ensure mission impact and help clients reimagine the future.   Growing up on the prairie of western Minnesota, Kay’s affinity for nature was well-established in the farming life of raising lambs, bailing hay, and swimming in ponds.   This connection for the natural world is ever-present in her work as a graphic designer and artist for SCI and our clients.   Kay is a systems guru who puts people in front of product and keeps high quality output at the center of work that is both inspirational and fun.   With a commitment to creativity that is inspired and guided by the highest intention, rooted in experience, and sparked by imagination, Kay’s design ethic makes client collaboration at SCI a magical process.
